Teacher / RYT 200
Legs-Up-The-Wall, Yoga Lite, Chair Assist

Angie is a 200-hour RYT trained in the Kripalu tradition. She has been teaching at House of Light Yoga for 3 years.

Angie is currently working toward her 500-hour certification and expects to complete that in 2019. She also has certifications in Yin Yoga, Restorative Yoga, and Yoga for Seniors.

Angie loves to teach Slow-Flow. Emphasis is placed on personalized alignment and feeling each pose from the inside out. She gives explicit instructions which make her classes ideal for a wide range of students including beginners. She holds a beginners workshop each January. Introducing newcomers to yoga brings her special joy.

Angie’s personal mission regarding yoga was set years ago. “To teach yoga to those who are challenged by physical limitations, intellectual disabilities, aging bodies, perceived inflexibility, or even simple fear of the unknown.”

In addition to teaching at House of Light Yoga, Angie has private students in her home and volunteers as a yoga teacher for adults with intellectual disabilities.
